I have been in the field of counseling since 1996.  I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Missouri as well as a Certified Addictions Counselor in both Kansas and Missouri.  

I provide high quality, client centered counseling services dealing with a variety of issues.  I work with adults and teens from 14 years old.  I am committed to providing client's with quality services.  


 
Professionalism

 I am very adamant about the rights of the client when it comes to confidentiality, ethics, & quality of services.  I make sure the client has informed consent when it comes to counseling.  I explain the limits to confidentiality and how we both can maximize the counseling experience.

The most important factor in the counseling process is that you feel comfortable with your counselor.

There have been several studies on what contributes to successful and positive results.  Study after study has concluded the #1 factor is the client feeling comfortable with the counselor and not feeling 'judged'.  I always tell client's "if you don't feel comfortable with me, let me know and I will work with you on getting with someone you do feel comfortable with".
